Description

Castel presents a preview of its new 65-E Ball Valve series for transcritical and subcritical CO2 systems with a maximum operating pressure of up to 140bar. 

Basic specifications

  • Refrigerant R744 (CO2)
  • Connections from 6mm to 60.3mm
  • Bi-directional flow
  • Maximum pressure work  60, 80, 120 and 140 bars
  • Minimum/ maximum temperature -40°C/ 150°C.
  • Certificates 97/23/CE


Advantages

  • Connections are made of AISI 304 steel, from 6mm to 60,3mm, permitting butt welding (Ps 140 bar)
  • Connections are made of copper K65, from ¼” to 2.1/8” , solder welding (Ps 120 bar) Connections are made of copper, from ¼ to 2.1/8”, solder welding ( Ps 60 and 80 bar)

  • The brass body of the valve is appropriately scaled
  • Use of a brass cap permits access to and protection of the manoeuvring rod and guarantees an excellent hermetic seal
  • Ensures the internal equilibrium of pressures when the valve is closed
  • Overall dimensions remain compact
