Made of CuFe2P, part of the K65 tube system consisting of tubes and fittings
For high pressure applications such as CO2 commercial refrigeration.
Description
High-strength copper alloy K65 fittings made of CuFe2P, part of the K65 tube system consisting of tubes and fittings, for high pressure applications such as CO2 commercial refrigeration.
Basic specifications
For CO2 (R744) 120 bar at an operating temperature of 150 °C
Pressure & corrosion resistance and high tensile strength
Material: special high tensile copper alloy Wieland K65, slightly magnetic and can easily be distinguished from copper by means of a neodymium magnet
Both the tubes and the fittings of the K65 system are TÜV certified and, therefore, meet the requirements of the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.
Types of K65 fittings available
K5040: K65 bends 45° I/A
K5041: K65 bends 45°
K5001: K65 bends 90° I/A
K5002: K65 bends 90°
K5130: K65 tee
K5130: K65 reduction tee
K5243: K65 reducing nipple
K5270: K65 straight couplings
K65 end caps
Advantages
Main advantage: mechanical strength of K65 material; because of this, the K65 product series for 120 bar can be made with comparatively thin walls
K65 fittings manufactured by IBP Conex | Bänninger can be brazed to K65 tubes by Wieland
Excellent processing properties which are similar to those of copper
High tensile strength and yield strength even after brazing and at high temperatures
Processible on existing machinery: brazeable, bendable and expandable
Excellent corrosion resistance
Application
High-pressure pipeline systems, particularly for CO2 as a refrigerant
