Spanish component manufacturer Tecnac has become a partner on R744.com, joining some of the world’s leading CO2 (R744) refrigeration companies.
Tecnac designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes components and accessories for the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning industries.
Headquartered near Madrid, Tecnac produces oil separators and oil receivers for both subcritical and transcritical CO2 applications. The company also manufactures liquid receivers, suction accumulators and valves for R744 refrigeration. The company’s newest product is a 130bar coalescent oil separator for transcritical CO2.
Tecnac also produces components for ammonia (R717) and propane (R290) refrigeration.
Founded in 1988, Tecnac’s largest market is Europe, with around 80% of the company’s CO2 turnover. The second largest market is Australia. All the company’s products, which are available in more than 40 countries, are manufactured at its factory in Spain.
Detailing its reasons for choosing to manufacture components using R744, Tecnac’s stressed that, on top of the environmental advantages and low GWP, CO2 is also a “safe” and “cheap” refrigerant to produce. The company also stressed that it is important to keep up with the latest market trends and demands from customers.
