The ARBS Education and Research Foundation is offering scholarships and educational grants to contribute to solving contemporary industry problems.

The Australian Air conditioning, Refrigeration Building Services (ARBS) Education and Research Foundation is awarding a range of scholarships and educational grants to individuals so they can further their education in the industry.
“ARBS is committed to help build a vibrant, productive and rewarding air conditioning and refrigeration industry,” according to its website. Research grants will be made to students and companies to help them undertake studies “that will contribute to solving contemporary industry problems and challenges.”
The ARBS Foundation was founded in 2014 as a way for the ARBS Exhibition (next scheduled for May 2020 in Melbourne) to invest its profits back into the industry. “The education and training of the people who work in the industry is critical to the future productivity of it,” said ARBS. “This is true of tradespeople, tertiary educated people, and everyone in between.”
As such, ARBS’s education scholarships are designed to:
The research projects funded will be directed at practical problems encountered daily in the industry. Generally, these research projects will need to be completed within a 12-month period or a discrete aspect of the research completed in that timeframe.
“By offering funding support and encouragement to people, we can help guarantee that the air conditioning and refrigeration industry remains strong and vibrant now, and into the future,” said ARBS. “This is the outcome the foundation is helping create.”
