The component manufacturer has bought an Italian company called Pego.
On 29 June 2018, Italian refrigeration component manufacturer Castel announced its acquisition of manufacturer of electronic control panels Pego.
Italian company Pego’s control panels can be used for regulating the temperature in cold rooms, air-conditioning, de-humification and lighting, as well as general energy management.
The control manufacturer will now become part of the Castel Group that operates in 90 countries.
The Group, with offices in Milan, boasts production plants in Pessano con Bornago (province of Milan) and Shanghai, China and now with the acquisition of Pego also in Occhiobello (province of Rovigo).
Castel is also a strong proponent of natural refrigerants as a solution, the press release states, with many of its 3,000 products adapted for CO2 and hydrocarbons.
