Hillphoenix, a Conyers, Georgia-based maker of CO2 refrigeration equipment, received the 2016 Store Certification Excellence Award in the Non-Supermarket category from the US Environmental Protection Agency’s GreenChill Partnership in mid-September at the Food Marketing Institute’s Energy & Store Development Conference in New Orleans.
This award recognises the commercial solutions manufacturer that has installed the most systems in GreenChill-certified stores in the past year (1 July 2015-30 June 2016). Hillphoenix systems were installed in 95 GreenChill-certified stores during this time, including stores with CO2 transcritical and CO2 cascade systems. This is Hillphoenix’s sixth GreenChill award since the programme launched in 2007.
Sprouts Farmers Market received the Store Certification Excellence award in the Supermarket category for earning the most GreenChill store certifications in the past year.
“This recognition from EPA’s GreenChill Program is an honour,” said Eduardo Navarro, vice-president and general manager of Hillphoenix’s Systems Division, accepting the award for Hillphoenix at the GreenChill Awards ceremony on 13 September 13 at the FMI Energy conference.
“It demonstrates our commitment to advancing sustainable technologies through our research, development and manufacturing processes. It also reflects our commitment to collaborating with customers on the competitive and environmental advantages of investing in sustainable refrigeration systems.”
