CAREL: New high-efficiency control solution for CO₂ condensing unit at Chillventa

CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. provides control solutions for air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating, and systems for humidification and evaporative cooling. It offers efficient solutions to complex CO₂ systems and has this year launched a number of products to enhance the efficiency gains that can be found when switching to CO₂.

Hecu Sistema for CO₂ condensing unit

For this Chillventa, CAREL have gone into new avenues of the CO₂ market by launching Hecu sistema, the brand new control solution for CO₂ condensing units.

Hecu is energy efficient and has a good energy classification, thanks in part to its DC inverter technology. Another pillar is the smooth regulation that ensures the best quality in food preservation.

“The Hecu sistema solution is a decisive milestone in the new generation of CO₂ condensing units, guaranteeing better energy performance and high reliability in a simple and compact solution,” says Giovanni Tonin, CAREL’s Application Specialist in Retail Solutions.

Tonin describes it as, “a technically advanced solution that is compatible with the state-of-the-art in compressor racks, yet features a small number of components that are ready to be integrated with one another. Hecu sistema for CO₂ thus represents a compact and competitive solution that perfectly responds to market demands”.

pRack controllers

The pRack controller is all about performance - combining all components with targeted algorithms to maximise system efficiency and monitoring in real time.

The aim is to, “increase efficiency and adaptability of CO₂ through advanced system integration based on smart synchronisation with the refrigeration units,” Tonin says.
