Software to get the heart of the matter right: assistance for CO2 compressor choice

The compressor is the core of the refrigeration system. Get it wrong and the overall system efficiency suffers. Bock has developed a new online CO2 compressor selection program to contain that risk.

It is not the first selection programme intended to help find customers the fitting compressor for their system. But it is the first one to be online available.

So far, most respectable manufacturers have been offering their customers for free such programmes. The drawback, however, was that to use it, the programme had to be installed on a hard disk. Today's internet users are however becoming used to programmes that work directly in the internet browser without the need to install anything.

Bock now steps up and presents the first online software for compressor selection that works just with the browser and without an installation.

The programme tailored to subcritical and transcritical CO2 applications has been available since July 2010. The main advantage: through regular updates, it will always be at the latest state-of-the-art.

The company has focused the online selection programme on CO2 applications as they have specialised in innovative compressor solutions using CO2 as refrigerant. Following the CO2 selection program is an online-software for the whole compressor program by Bock that constitutes a whole new generation of the already established VAP software that was only available for installation until now.

For customers with limited access to internet, Bock will however keep an offline version of the VAP software available.
