From 16 to 19 February 2010 the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association is organising the 36th Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigerating Expo at the Tokyo Big Sight international exhibition hall. The event will serve as a forum for industry-wide public relations, technical development initiatives and introduction of new products.

Under the tagline “Japan's technology as an advanced country in climate control equipment”, HVAC&R JAPAN 2010 will gather under one roof Japan’s world-leading HVAC&R companies that will be showcasing their newest and most environmentally friendly equipment, including the latest models of CO₂ heat pumps.

R744 products to be showcased

Several companies will be showcasing CO₂ products, including:

• MAYEKAWA MFG. CO., LTD. (Booth 1-605): MAYEKAWA will be showcasing its CO₂ Heat Pump Hot Air Heater "MAYEKAWA EcoSirocco" as well as its CO₂ Heat Pump "Eco-Cute"

• SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. (Booth 2-703): SANYO will be showcasing its Eco Cute (CO₂) heat pump hot water supplying apparatus

• Nihon ITOMIC Co.,Ltd (Booth 1-303): Itomic will be displaying its newly downsized Eco Cute for commercial use with 26kw heating ability and 4.0 COP

• NIHON NETSUGEN SYSTEMS CO., LTD: Being part of the Grasso Global Network, NIHON NETSUGEN SYSTEMS is proposing environmental friendly CO₂ or ammonia chillers with German GEA Grasso compressors for industrial refrigeration. The company will be among other products exhibiting heat pumps with heat recovery, an ammonia semi-hermetic 'Green Chiller' and a screw compressor package

• Shoei Co., Ltd.: Shoei will be showcasing its brazed plate heat exchanger for CO₂ as well as its GOMAX flexible hose for CO₂

• Panasonic Corporation: Panasonic will be exhibiting its CO₂ Heat Pump Water Heater Series as part of its "Energy Solutions"

• Showa Manufacturing Co.,Ltd: Showa will be showcasing its business use Eco Cute

• SAGINOMYA SEISAKUSHO, INC: Co-exhibiting with NIPPON GT CORPORATION, SAGINOMYA will be exhibiting automatic controls for natural refrigerants

• MAJ CO., LTD: At booth No. 2-305, MAJ will be showcasing CO₂ products such as expansion valves, driers and pressure regulating valves by SPORLAN as well as high efficiency oil separator by TEMPRITE

Lectures and seminars

Concurrent events, including lectures and seminars featuring experts from government and industry, as well as seminars and presentations by exhibitors on new product trends will also be held. These will include for example presentations by:

• HEAT PUMP AND THERMAL STORAGE TECHNOLOGY CENTER OF JAPAN (HPTCJ): HPTCJ will hold a presentation on heat pumps and thermal storage systems. HPTCJ will be standing at Booth No. 1-601

• Refrigerants Recycling Promotion and Technology Center (RRC): RRC will providing a seminar about refrigerants recovery procedures technology
