Pressure Transmitter and High Pressure Pilot Valve from Danfoss

By R744.com team, Aug 26, 2009, 12:24 2 minute reading

Danfoss has added two new products to the R744 database: The AKS 2050 is a pressure transmitter with ratiometric output signal and the CVC-XP can be used as a high-pressure pilot valve. Both products are perfectly suitable for high-pressure CO2 applications.

The global specialist for refrigeration solutions is introducing its new high-pressure resistant products to upgrade the R744.com product database. The AKS 2050, a pressure transmitter with ratiometric output signal, is resistant to cavitation, liquid hammer and pressure peaks and is designed for use in demanding A/C and refrigeration environments It has a high vibration stability and is made of acid resistant steel. The high-pressure pilot valve CVC-XP is a high pressure-operated pilot valve with a connection that can be used to obtain an indication of the system reference pressure.

The products in detail

Danfoss has added the following components to R744.com:

AKS 2050: The transmitter is a ratiometric pressure transmitter that converts the measured pressure to a linear output signal. The min. value of the output signal is 10% of the actual supply voltage and the max. value is 90% of the actual supply voltage. This means that at a supply voltage of 5 V, a linear output signal of 0.5 V is thus obtained at the minimum pressure of the pressure transmitter and 4.5 V at maximum pressure of the pressure transmitter.

Due to the robust design and the ratiometric output signal, the AKS 2050 is suitable for systems together with ratiometric A/D converters within a number of fields, such as CO2 plants, A/C systems or laboratories.

CVC-XP: The high pressure version of the pilot valve with a maximum working pressure of 52/28 bar g3 has a connection that can be used to obtain an indication of the system reference pressure. It features an extremely accurate pressure and temperature control. All pilot valves can be used on all sizes of main valves and in addition, they can be used:
  • together with a PMC main valve to regulate capacity using hot gas bypass;
  • together with a ICS or PM main valve to regulate max. suction pressure, e.g. as a compressor crankcase pressure regulator;
  • together with a ICS or PM main valve as a pressure limiter, e.g. for hot gas defrost of hot gas lines.
