SCM FRIGO S.p.A. has developed a full range of CO₂ pumping stations, to be coupled with HFC, CO₂ or NH₃ units that include MT applications, LT applications and Blast Freezers.

Capacity range from 30kW up to 350kW
Insulated CO₂ vessel with capacity up to 600 lt
Double CO₂ pump, 1 running and 1 std by, automatic rotation
Differential pressure switch on pump
Max and minimum level control, possibility to have continuous control
PS = 40 bar
Optional emergency condensing unit for prolonged stops

MT pump stations can be combined with CO₂, NH₃ or HFC MT unit. As an option they can be built with subcritical compressor pack on the same frame for LT DX users (COMBI SYSTEM).

LT pump stations can be combined with cascade LT unit or specially applied for Blast Freezers.

Advantages:

High efficiency of heat exchange thanks to excellent thermal properties of CO₂ and to flooded evaporators
Smaller pipes diameter (lower costs) with respect to HFC or Glycol
Safety in case of power shortage (keeping cool the liquid receiver keeps under control the whole installation)
