Its vending machines use liquid carbon dioxide (R744), the environmentally-friendly refrigerant of the future, which operates more efficiently than industry standard R134a refrigerant and is non-ozone depleting, non-toxic, and non-flammable. The CO₂ refrigeration deck is a direct alternate for the R134a refrigeration deck.
