The German manufacturer’s new reciprocating compressor is designed for smaller commercial applications.

German-based manufacturer GEA Bock GmbH, part of the GEA group, will feature its new HGX24 CO2 T semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor, designed for small commercial CO2 applications, at the Virtual Trade Show next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Virtual Trade Show, featuring 77 exhibitors and more than 2,500 attendees, will take place live around the world over a 24-hour period on September 1-2. shecco, publisher of this website, is hosting the event. It is free to attend, and interested parties can register here.
GEA Bocks’ compressors “feature high flexibility through a wide frequency range with minimal partial load control and high operational reliability,” according to Bianca Müller, Marketing Manager at GEA Bock.
The HGX24 CO2 T is the newest addition to the company’s CO2 compressor line, which comprises HGX34 CO2 T and HGX46 CO2 T.

The current models in the range operate in subcritical and transcritical modeand are suitable for various temperature applications with a 21 to 85kW (6 to 24.2TR) cooling capacity, according to GEA Bock’s website.
The new HGX24 CO2 T is designed for 9 to 21 kW (2.6 to 6TR) systems for smaller retailers. It comes in six sizes, and features wide operating and frequency range of between 20 – 70 Hz; it also offers optimum running behavior at -10°C (50°F) to 35°C (95°F), with very low noise level, vibrations and pulsations, said GEA Bock.

GEA, the parent company of GEA Bock, will also be exhibiting at the Virtual Trade Show, at a separate booth.
The company will feature details of its recent natural refrigerant promotion campaign, as well as its training courses.
In March, GEA launched a video series on ammonia( NH3), hydrocarbons, and CO2. Currently, GEA is offering training initiatives to upskill the HVA&R industry in the use of natural refrigerants.
