The Ineo, Cofely, Endel and Axima brands will be absorbed into an umbrella brand – Engie Solutions.

Multiple Engie brands will be incorporated into the Engie Solutions brand.

To better meet the needs of its customers, French multinational electric utility company Engie is restructuring into a new entity called Engie Solutions.

As such, as of January 1, 2020, several of the group’s historical brands will be absorbed into Engie Solutions, including Engie Axima, which has installed more than 1,000 CO2 and ammonia refrigeration systems in various parts of the world. The other brands are Engie’s Ineo (electrical engineering), Cofely (technical services), and Endel (mechanical engineering).

Engie Solutions will be managed by Wilfrid Petrie, one of the new Deputy General Managers appointed this year.

The new entity will be divided into three business units, each focused on a specific customer category: industry, the tertiary sector, and local authorities. These three activities employ a total of 47,000 people, with a turnover of around €10 billion (US$11 billion).

Engie is increasingly focusing on global service offerings, one of the growth drivers identified by Isabelle Kocher, Engie CEO, for the coming years, alongside renewable energies. "This new structure will allow us to better meet our customers' needs by offering them all our services," explained Petrie. "We will be more visible and synergies between the different activities will be facilitated.”

The reorganization announced by Engie will have no impact on the workforce, according to Petrie.
