NEXT Series: CO₂ training in Europe, USA in 2019

As CO₂ transcritical refrigeration systems increase in popularity, R744.com takes a look at training sessions coming to a town near you in 2019.

January

• January 16-17 in Atlanta, Georgia & January 30–31 in Orlando, Florida: U.S. component supplier Emerson announced it would run a two-day CO₂ refrigeration training course using its mobile training unit. 

• January 22–24 in Baltimore, Maryland: The Danfoss Mobile CO₂ Training Unit will extend its US tour with a stop in Baltimore, Maryland, where it will carry out training on CO₂ refrigeration systems.

• January 29-30 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out two-days of advanced basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• February 5-6, February 7-8 & February 5-8, Aeres Tech, near Arnhem, The Netherlands: Two 2-day trainings and one 4-day training will take place at the CO₂ Academy (owned by Swedish firm Frigo Natural AB). The trainings not only cover how to use a standard CO₂ booster system, but also delve into newer technology like parallel compression and ejectors, along with other warm-climate solutions and heat recovery.

• February 7-8 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ transcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training centre – the Schäufler Academy – in English.

• February 12 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out a one-day basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• February 13-14 in Rancho Cordova, California & February 27- 28 in Elmsford, New York: U.S. component supplier Emerson announced it would run two-day CO₂ refrigeration training courses using its mobile training unit.

• February 19-20 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ subcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training center – the Schäufler Academy – in English.

• February 20-21 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ transcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training centre – the Schäufler Academy – in English.

• March 4-5 in Aarhus, Denmark: The Danish Technology Institute (DTI) will provide hands-on and theoretical two-day training for contractors.

• May 6-13 in Maintal (near Frankfurt), Germany: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) Proklima, an NGO, is providing technical assistance for National Ozone Unit (NOU) officers, covering safe use of natural refrigerants in RAC appliances and related policy issues. The session, lasting one week, is designed for policymakers in the field of ozone and climate protection and is carried out in cooperation with the international vocational training center Bundesfachschule Kälte Klima Technik – in English.

• March 8 in Casale Monferrato, Italy: Centro Studi Galileo, a leading Italian training centre, will carry out CO₂ refrigeration training on site.

• March 20-21 in Cudahy, Wisconsin: U.S. component supplier Emerson announced it would run two-day CO₂ refrigeration training courses using its mobile training unit.

• March 22 in Padova, Italy: Centro Studi Galileo, a leading Italian training centre, will carry out CO₂ refrigeration training off site.

• March 26-27 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out two-days of advanced basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• April 5 in Firenze, Italy: Centro Studi Galileo, a leading Italian training centre, will carry out CO₂ refrigeration training off site.

• April 8-9 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ subcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training centre – the Schäufler Academy – in German.

• April 10–11 in Brantford, Ontario: U.S. component supplier Emerson announced it would run two-day CO₂ refrigeration training courses using its mobile training unit.

• April 11 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out a one-day basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• May 14-15 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out two-days of advanced basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• June 5-6 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ subcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training centre – the Schäufler Academy – in English.

• June 6 in Dresden, Germany: System manufacturer Compact Kaeltetechnik will carry out a one-day basic training on subcritical and transcritical CO₂ systems at its facility.

• June 27-28 in Rottenburg am Neckar (near Stuttgart), Germany: OEM Bitzer provides CO₂ transcritical refrigeration training at its international education and training centre – the Schäufler Academy – in German.

• August 5-19 in Maintal (near Frankfurt), Germany: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) Proklima, an NGO, is providing a two-week technician training on how to use the natural refrigerants propane (R290), CO₂ (R744) and ammonia (R717) safely. The training is composed of theoretical and practical sessions and is carried out in cooperation with the international vocational training center Bundesfachschule Kälte Klima Technik – in English. 

• September 9-10 in Aarhus, Denmark: The Danish Technology Institute (DTI) will provide hands-on and theoretical two-day training for contractors.
