INFICON, a leading provider of gas analysis and measurement products, will join R744.com soon to present its innovative HLD5000 Refrigerant Leak Detector, able to find CO2 leaks quickly in the production of mobile air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, or heat pumps.
INFICON’s refrigerant leak detector combines fast and easy use with superior stability and high precision. Its specially tuned IR sensors detect the smallest amounts of refrigerants in production processes, while being non-reactive to other potential sources of false alarms such as water, alcohol, perfume, or cigarette smoke. In addition to the HLD5000 Smart for the detection of halogenated gases, well accepted by the RAC industry, a special version for the detection of CO2 (R744) is available.
Based on a dual-inlet technology, the concentration of gas at the probe tip is constantly compared to the concentration in the surrounding atmosphere, thereby eliminating false alarms due to background levels of these gases. Featuring easy programming and trouble-free operation of the long-life parts, the HLD5000 offers a very low cost of ownership. It is especially suited for detecting the smallest leaks of R744 and halogenated gases in the production of automotive air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, and heat pump units.
