Castel, Italian supplier of refrigeration and air conditioning components, presents the new series of Ball Valves 6598E for transcritical CO2 systems with a maximum operating pressure 120bar. The use of the brass cap provides access and protection to the operating rod and it guarantees a tight seal.
Castel presents its new series of Ball Valves for installation in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, as well as heat pumps. The ball valves were developed in response to specific requests by the industry system manufacturers supplying the wave of CO2 refrigeration systems being implemented in supermarkets across Europe and North America.

Castel has renewed its entire range of ball valves, check valves and liquid/moisture indicators for subcritical systems with operating pressures of up to 75 bar.

The main features of the Castel ball 6598E valves are the bi-flow function and ability to support a MWP of 120bar. The valves are made of AISI 304 stainless steel connections, from 10mm to 42mm - permitting butt welding, and are 100% helium tested,” says Antonio Sepe, Product Manager for Castel srl.
