The innovative Swedish manufacturer presents a broad range of ready-to go CO2 (R744) refrigeration units, after their successful running in supermarkets of Sweden's largest food retailers. These are the first complete CO2 systems featuring on the R744.com products section.

Joining R744.com's new database for stationary applications, Green & Cool has selected three of its latest models to be presented to a global audience. The models PACIFIC HT, MISTRAL MT and LT cover all temperature applications, featuring a noise-reduced reliable operation under all conditions.

Options

All displayed models allow for the following options:
  • Superheat exchanger (model HE)
  • Antivibration mounts
  • Flexible sleeves on the evaporator and the condenser side, as well as the heat exchanger
  • Extra liquid receiver (62 litres)

The Mistral model is a chiller/freezer unit with direct expansion on the evaporator, gas cooler/ and condenser side. It is available in 13 capacities as an air conditioning unit for high temperature (HT) range, for the medium temperature (MT) range, and a low temperature (LT) freezer unit. Depending on the application, Mistral MT and LT models will achieve a refrigeration output of 15 to 120 kW, operating with evaporation temperatures of -37 to -10°C.

PACIFIC HT

PACIFIC is a liquid chiller unit for high temperature range with a liquid cooled gas cooler/condenser. The unit is available in 5 capacities with refrigeration outputs of 40 to 200 kW. The completely indirect system with glycol/water, on both the hot and cold sides, was designed for the natural refrigerant CO2 to achieve the lowest possible environmental impact.

Reactions

"Our great technological lead and practical experience has put Sweden in the forefront of carbon dioxide retail refrigeration. We are now planning to expand our presence also to Denmark, Norway, and the UK, with more countries coming," explains Gordana Mihai, Marketing Manager at Green & Cool.

"R744.com is a perfect place to present CO2 Technology as a highly efficient solution in cooling and refrigeration that does not put any unnecessary burden to the environment," she concludes.

Background

Green & Cool offers third-generation CO2 (R744) air conditioning, as well as chiller and freezer units for transcritical and cascade refrigeration systems. Its broad product range, featuring high energy efficiency and reliability, covers the high-, medium- and low-temperature range.

The company was founded by two leading refrigeration companies in Sweden, Friginor Kylmontage & Service AB and Kyl AB Frigoväst, as a way of producing environmentally friendly retail refrigeration. In 2003, the company installed its first transcritical system in supermarket refrigeration. This figure has grown to around 20 systems currently operating in supermarkets across Sweden. ICA and COOP, Sweden's largest food retailers, are supplied with Green & Cool's unit.
