enEX presents improved CO2 refrigeration units

enEX, an Italian-based manufacturer specialised in innovative, high-efficiency refrigeration systems, introduces the improved DRAVA/ NEVA/ ELBA series of CO2 refrigeration units, suitable for a wide range of small to large applications.

Distinguished by their reliability and resilience, the DRAVA, NEVA and ELBA series from enEX maintain their easy-to-operate characteristics, while improving on their functionality and energy efficiency.

DRAVA/ NEVA/ ELBA CO2 units are now available, also in the southern-European market. A DRAVA unit will be on display at the next “Climatizacion 2013”, the most important refrigeration and air conditioning fair in Spain, opening on February 26th.

All DRAVA/ NEVA/ ELBA CO2 units feature a robust Plug and Play design, ensuring easy service and trouble-free functioning.

Chief Executive Sergio Girotto explains:

Among the features introduced with the new design are:
  • Enjector
  • Improved oil separation system
The Enjector design allows for the maximisation of the evaporators’ performance at any load condition. Evaporating temperature is automatically increased to the maximum possible value sufficient for maintaining the right temperature in cold rooms and refrigerated cabinets, raising the CoP – Coefficient of Performance - to the highest value. As several tests have shown, energy savings vary between 10 and15%. Energy saving is accomplished all year round, but it is at its maximum during the summer. Enjector can be used with normal evaporators, and it is compatible with most of the controllers on the market."

Girotto adds,

The second improvement introduced allows for complete oil separation: the liquid refrigerant feeding evaporators is practically pure CO2, improving heat transfer, and the oil is kept right where it is needed, that is, immediately available for compressor’s lubrication. All of this results in better efficiency and higher reliability."

DRAVA refrigeration unit

The DRAVA family of CO2 refrigeration units is applicable to small shops, convenience stores and the HoReCa industry. Indoor and outdoor installations are available, with outdoor versions featuring an integrated horizontal coil condenser for efficient subcritical operation.

Basic specifications for DRAVA:
  • Standard supply with 60 bar design pressure LP/IP side - 120 bar HP side
  • Operation up to 35°C ambient standard, possible up to 40°C with proper option on demand
  • Two different versions for indoor or outdoor installation
  • Stainless steel piping
  • Electrical panel with web access
  • Liquid receiver 50 liters

NEVA refrigeration unit

The NEVA family of CO2 refrigeration units is designed for medium size supermarkets. While the E5N models are designed for medium temperature application only, the new booster version E5N-B model combines MT and LT refrigeration.

Basic specifications for NEVA:
  • Design pressure LP/IP side 45 or 60 bar - 120 bar HP side
  • Large volume liquid receiver
  • Stainless steel piping
  • Several options are available

ELBA refrigeration unit

The ELBA family of CO2 refrigeration units is appropriate for large supermarkets and hypermarkets. While the E4N models are designed for medium temperature application only, the booster version E4N-B model combines MT and LT refrigeration. The units are more energy efficient than ever before due to their improved booster design with intercooler and regenerative heat exchanger.

Basic specifications for ELBA:
  • Easy capacity control with frequency inverter on MT and LT
  • Design pressure LP/IP side 45 or 60 bar - 120 bar HP side
  • Large volume liquid receiver for containment of whole charge
  • Stainless steel piping
  • Several options are available
