To meet increasing demand, 6 global ATMOsphere events relating to Natural Refrigerants have been programmed for 2013, taking place in Vienna, Washington DC, Bangkok, Tokyo, Brussels and Kiev. The first of this line-up will be held in collaboration with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation) and will focus on natural solutions for Developing Countries. + UNIDO ATMOsphere chosen as European Commission Green Week satellite event.
The main objective of the UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit is to provide practical solutions for overcoming the challenges during the introduction of natural substances. It aims to encourage the global acceptance of natural solutions amongst end-users and manufacturers of Developing Countries in the refrigeration, air conditioning and foam sectors. Hence the title, Natural Solutions for Developing Countries.

UNIDO ATMOsphere – European Commission Green Week Satellite Event
UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit has been chosen as an official satellite event of the European Commission Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy. By incorporating awareness-raising satellite events in different countries, Green Week seeks to spread its message across all of Europe.
The main Green Week conference will be held from 4-7 June at the Egg Conference Centre in Brussels, Belgium. Last year, over 3.100 participants from government, business and industry, non-governmental organisations, academia and the media took part in the event.

This ATMOsphere panel discussion will be taking place during the UNEP’s (United Nations Environment Program) 33rd Meeting of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG33) of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The side event offers an industry and policy perspective relating to Natural Refrigerants and is tailored to the climate negotiators who are looking for technologically viable, safe and efficient alternatives to the chemical refrigerants that must be phased out in the near future.
