TEGA aims to build a closer collaboration with Austrian customers.

TEGA has supplied natural refrigerants for more than 20 years.

German refrigerant supplier TEGA (Technische Gase und Gasetechnik) GmbH announced on April 1 its acquisition of Linde’s Austrian refrigerant business.

Based in Würzburg, Germany, TEGA has a diverse product portfolio that covers all types of refrigerants commonly used in Europe. It has supplied natural refrigerants for more than 20 years.

Linde is a British multinational chemical company with operating headquarters in Guildford, Surrey. The industrial gases and engineering company serves customers in a variety of sectors including, chemicals and refining, food and beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, and primary metals.

TEGA, acquired by Dublin, Ireland-based DCC in 2018, is a former subsidiary of Linde.  Since then, it has been Linde Austria’s refrigerants supplier. “Critical stock and supply capacities are already in place for the smooth transition of serving refrigerant customers in Austria directly,” said TEGA in a statement. TEGA’s local subsidiary, TEGA Austria GmbH, is based in Enns and includes a sales office and local warehouse.

The move by TEGA aims to build an even closer collaboration with Austrian customers. “It will as well include regular updates from TEGA to Austrian customers on critical developments affecting the refrigerant market such as news from the regulatory environment,” said TEGA.
